What are the prospects for the biogas sector at global level?
Market and policy
According to David Newman, Chair of the World Biogas Association, the biogas industry has huge opportunities for growth. Not only in Europe, where the potential for producing biogas from food waste is extremely high, but also in the rest of the world. In fact, the World Biogas Association published a report declaring that only 2% of the sector’s real potential is being levered. This is why the Association has targeted 16 of the world’s leading nations, to raise their awareness of tackling greenhouse gas emissions by investing in green gas.
