The Tropicalization Program: an opportunity for companies around the world to contribute to the development of the biogas sector in Brazil
Market and policy
Another important project for the development of the biogas sector in Brazil is the Tropicalization Program.
The Program, implemented by the Brazil GEF Biogas Project, aims to stimulate economic development and technological innovation in Brazil’s biogas sector. The objective is to integrate Brazilian and foreign companies to promote international co-operation and to identify opportunities that meet local market requirements. The Program may bring to Brazil (or to use a term inspired by the Program “tropicalize”) technological solutions or foreign business models that solve one or more of the six main challenges identified in the Brazilian biogas market.
