Germany looks towards a new frontier: hydrogen
Market and policy
Germany, the world’s leading provider of energy from biogas, now looks towards a new frontier: hydrogen. This gas can in fact also be produced from biogas through steam reforming or pyrolysis processes and given the large number of biogas plants in the country, the potential is enormous. The German Biogas Association is already working on this front, following the development of new technologies in this field and ready to support biogenic hydrogen in the mobility sector.
