France: in the Grand Est region the biogas industry continues to grow. The point of view of ATEE Club Biogaz
Market and policy
The Grand Est is the French region with the highest number of biogas plants, and the aim is for a tenfold increase in installed capacity by 2023. In this dynamic climate the region is supporting feasibility studies by financing up to 70% of the cost for farmers, 60% for SMEs and 50% for large companies. More funds are also arriving from the French agency ADEME. The president of Atee Club Biogaz gives us all the details.
