Circular bioeconomy in Italian companies: how are SMEs moving? The answer is in the results of the first report on the circular bioeconomy in Italian companies, conducted by Unitelma Sapienza, the University of Ferrara and SEEDS (Sustainability, Environmental Economics and Dynamics Studies). The survey shows that SMEs are moving slowly in this direction, with greater propensity towards investments in the solar sector. However, the exploitation of biomass and in particular residual biomass is also seeing strong growth.
