Biomethane/RNG in California: from producer to end user
Market and policy
When biomethane/RNG is produced in remote areas, such as landfills or wastewater treatment plants far from city centres, connecting production plants to end users becomes crucial. In such cases, it must be assessed whether it is better to transport liquid biomethane to its final destination or to inject it into the grid. BioFuels is one of the companies that can provide support with this phase, involved in the biomethane project at the Point Loma wastewater treatment plant in San Diego.
