Also biomethane/RNG plays a role in the future of Milan’s mobility
Sustainable mobility
In addition to the new Area B, which limits traffic to less polluting environmental classes, Milan’s 2019 gets underway with lots of new sustainable mobility projects. Among these, the strong desire to significantly reduce the use of diesel and petrol, in favour of less polluting solutions, starting from vehicles used by municipal companies such as the A2A, which collects the city’s waste on a daily basis and whose vehicles will soon run on methane and biomethane/RNG.
Marco Granelli, Councillor for mobility and environment of the Municipality of Milan, describes this scenario.
