Europe has 3,000 compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations, of which 80 are also suitable for liquid natural gas (LNG). This same infrastructure can be used to distribute bio-LNG, or rather liquid biomethane, which has high levels of purity and very low CO2 and particulate emissions. Easily transportable from source to destination, bio-LNG can be fed into the network or be fundamental in the mobility of heavy vehicles.
