Shell's carbon neutral lubricants to offset 700,000 tons of CO2e emissions per year.
Biogas cogeneration
Shell also invests in sustainability and aims to become a net zero-emission energy business company by 2050. In order to achieve this, it has launched a new range of carbon neutral lubricants, including their flagship Shell Mysella oil, suitable for cogeneration engines. Thanks to these products, Shell aims to offset the emissions of more than 200 million litres of synthetic lubricants every year, forecasting achieving the quota of 700,000 tons of CO2e emissions offset in the long term, equal to those emitted by 340,000 cars.
