Gas power plants are broadly recognized for their efficiency and flexibility, as well as for guaranteeing significant savings in energy costs and CO2 emissions. Efficiency and savings are further emphasized when cogeneration is used, with thermal and electrical energy produced simultaneously. But what will the gas power plants of the future look like? The keyword is surely “renewable”. The gas that powers this type of engines will not only consist of natural gas, but also biomethane and hydrogen. Only thanks to this approach will it be possible to speak of plants that are 100% carbon negative.

We discussed this topic and others with EUGINE, the leading association that promotes this sector.
