Unipeg: energy self-sufficiency thanks to slaughterhouse waste
Case history
At Unipeg the same amount is consumed as produced. This philosophy has led to the first Italian cattle slaughtering cooperative group with energy independence thanks to the Green Energy project. The 526 kw/h biogas plant located in Pegognaga alone guarantees 16% of the electricity requirements of the two Unipeg establishments, using production waste almost exclusively.
