Case history
The farm of Principi di Porcia, owned by the noble family of Principi di Porcia e Brugnera, not only has 800 years of history and a farming tradition stretching back 55 generations, but it also boasts a pre-eminent place in the field of sustainability. There are numerous renewable energy projects currently under way on the property, including a biogas plant at the Fattoria di Azzano. The 1MW plant, perfectly integrated within the farm environment, produces 8,500,000 kWh of electricity which is fed into the national grid.
