With over 60 years of history, passion for the land and animals and investments in biogas and in new technologies, Az. Agricola Belluco is a farm in Padua, Italy, which has grown to include 3,000 head of beef cattle and 300 hectares of crops. In particular, the decision to focus on renewable energy allows the farm to grow sustainably. In fact, the first 525 kW biogas plant was activated in 2011, followed by a second 300 kW plant commissioned in 2014. The two plants, fed with the slurry and manure generated by the bulls bred, make it possible to produce energy from what used to be considered waste, while also providing the farm with an alternative source of income.
