The second largest city in Sweden uses biogas from wastewater to power 5,000 vehicles a year

Göteborg ist mit seinen mehr als 500.000 Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt Schwedens. Das aus Abwasser erzeugte Biogas wird zu Biomethan aufbereitet und als Kraftstoff für den kommunalen Fuhrpark genutzt. Die in Gasendal (“Gas Valley”) befindliche Anlage erzeugt jährlich 72 GWh Strom und wird kontinuierlich durch die Stadt Göteborg gefördert.
