Renewable natural gas in the dairy sector: several projects being developed in California
Applications and technologies
California has the biggest dairy production in the United States and is well aware of the environmental issues created by emissions in the sector. For this reason, and backed up by generous incentives to achieve a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, the state is also supporting the development of projects for the generation of renewable natural gas by milk producers.
California Bioenergy is one of the strategic partners for dairy farms in pursuing this aim, and here outlines the projects that it has developed across the state and the results achieved.
