In Germany biogas returns to its roots
Associations
The biogas sector is returning to its roots: manure and waste. These substrates, widely used in the early market development years, are now making a comeback among the most commonly utilised raw materials, resulting in a significant reduction in CO2. This return to the roots of the sector is driven not only by the German political framework, but also by the desire to make the most of the available potential. In fact, only 25% of animal waste produced is used in biogas plants. These factors, combined with the flexibility of biogas plants, will guarantee a future for this sector.
