Can digestate represent an opportunity for vineyard nutrition?
Agriculture and breeding
The Bio.Vi.Vi. project, launched in 2014, set out to investigate whether digestate from biogas plants can support the wine production chain, taking Modenese Lambrusco as a case study. The findings of the study show that using waste and by-products from the wine production chain could facilitate the creation of a “circular viticulture”. We discuss this with Guido Bezzi of the CIB.
