Anaerobic digestion amongst Scottish farmers
Anaerobic digestion
The market is not mature and still under development compared with the rest of Europe. According to Andrew Bauer, of the National Farmers Union Scotland, it is necessary to establish long-term relationships between farmers and the biogas industry. It is necessary to educate the farmers on the quality of the digestate, map out the country's opportunities and create partnerships with them to provide support from the financial point of view.
