Agricola Lenti: a biogas plant for managing by-products and improving profitability
Case history
Since the 1600’s, Agricola Lenti has had over 500 hectares dedicated to olive growing, viniculture, viticulture, citrus cultivation, zootechnics and agri-energy. The large quantity of by-products available has resulted in the installation of a 999 kW biogas plant, which also provides trigeneration (CCHP). The electrical energy generated is fed into the grid, while the thermal energy generated is used to meet the needs of nearby homes and the winery.
