Eric Liégeois was graduated in Chemical Engineering for Agricultural Industries at the University of Gembloux (Belgium). He joined the Federal Ministry for Agriculture in 1992, in 2002 he was seconded as national expert of the European Commission at the DG Environment, in 2007 he was director at the Ministry of Public Health and the Environment. In June 2007 he decided to join again the European Commission as an official agent in the Chemicals Unit at DG ENTR and started to be involved in the Fertilisers group. In his current position he is leading a team in charge of Fertilisers, Detergents, Plant Protection Products, Biocides, Waste recycling and Plastics.
