Encina Wastewater Authority: 750,000 cubic feet of biogas produced every day from waste water

The Encina Wastewater Authority is a public company that operates in the San Diego county and treats 22 million gallons of waste water every day. Its staff have explains step by step how the treatment of waste water works, from the purification to the biogas and biosolids production. The resulting biogas satisfies 70% of the electrical demands of the structure, whilst the biosolids can be used as fertiliser.
