Using biomass waste as an energy source: the UNEP project
Anaerobic digestion
We interviewed Mushtaq Ahmed Memon, member of the International Environmental Technology Centre of UNEP. The Centre is working to promote the use of biomass waste as a source of energy and compost through anaerobic digestion. Developing partnerships and sharing knowledge with other countries can help significantly in meeting this goal, and in this sense governments play a crucial role.
