Fighting drought in California with digestate
Anaerobic digestion
Sally Brown’s dream, a lecturer at the University of Washington, was to find a way to keep agricultural activity in the area around New York, her hometown, alive and profitable. From this she developed her interest for biogas and for the enormous potential for interaction between organic waste and agriculture through digestate which is able to replace important nutrients to the soil, improving health and providing a remedy for states like California that are afflicted by drought.
